Touching Subjetivities

To address the idea of a multiplicity of my nation, Brazil, me and my creative assistant, Fernada Machado, went into five journeys throughout the country. The system I developed to reach towns outside of Brazilian tourist destinations was: I took a bus to a town I have never heard the name and repeated the same process several times within each journey. In the towns I created unusual Interventions in the space and invited the residents to direct my photograph, reverting the role between artist and viewer. The result was a documentary of an encounter that reveled the nuances of our subjectivities and cultural behavior; and at the same time was a game that we created together.
